The minister stated the development work was underway on the estate so that it could be completed within stipulated period. "The SIE is likely to attract private investment worth 30 billion of rupees within next three years, which would help provide employment to jobless people," he added.
The labour complex adjacent to the Estate would be unique project of its kind in the province, which would provide residential, medical and technical training facilities to the people, he maintained. He further said petrol pump and CNG station as well as shops would also be set up at suitable places in the Estate. Besides, installation of underground electric wiring, treatment plants would also be established for checking environmental pollution, he added.
The minister further said that textile, pharmaceutical, auto-parts, garments, and food-processing units would be set up in the Estate.
